It is cultivated successfully by Pingdu Xinghua Grape Seed Multiplication Farm of Shandong in 1996, belongs to European species. In 1997, it gained the golden award of Qingdao International Agriculture Scientific Technology Exposition of China. On 12th August 1998, the harvest checking and observation has been hold by experts. They all agree the advantages in preventive fields of Xinghua Excellent No. 1. It is the good earlier ripening species with good future. Also it has been reported in the program of "Monsoon of Countryside" in Shandong Satellite TV, titled as "Xinghua Grape is better than American Global".
①Advantages: Xinghua Excellent No.1 performed well cultivated in the preventive ground, disease resistance (anthracnose, downy mildew, powdery mildew, smut), special earlier ripening, big ears, big fruits, able to bear store and transport. The pulp is dark red color, tasted well with high fruits stay rate.
②Features：It is 1 year young tip in green with purple add -ons. No floss; smooth surface of young tip. Maturated leaves are in middle size, long burl, red color and 5 splits. Big ears weigh 700g~1000g; the most one is 2500g. It is the biggest one in the world. Fruits weigh 12g, rectangle shape, attracting the customers of its dark red color. Less juice, the pulp is hard and compact, able to cut to flake. It contains sugar 18% with good taste, ripening earlier than Jufeng 35 days. Consistent maturated period and fruits are no easily fall down. It does not crack, only 2 seeds and able to bear store and transport.
③Profits and Benefits: Xinghua Excellent No.1 is good in disease resistance comparing with other earlier European species. Ears are tiny, consistently ripening with strong coloring capability. Damned early-ripening, ripening in early July. The tree is flourishing with big leaves. The fruit is against disease, high yield. A big tassel weight is 700g or so, and a big grain is 12g or so. The grain is round in purple black, and the flesh is rich in juice. The sugar content is 18 degree. The fruit is strawberry flavor. It can be grown in large area.
